This year's theme

In the time of the Fourth Industrial Revolution the focus has moved sharply from teaching and training as providing information to learning as dealing with information overload. The question becomes - in a world where learners are also producers of information, and where information is readily available on the Internet, what is the role of the HRD specialist?

Come and listen to a group of active learning and development practitioners and hear how they are solving the problem in diverse ways. We speak of blended learning, but the questions are What do we blend? and How do we blend it? We have presenters who will talk about high-tech solutions for disadvantaged rural learners. We have presenters who talk about low-tech solutions in high-tech environments. We cover a range of topics from the technical and technological to the deeply spiritual, and we discuss learners from junior school to post-graduate studies - all this so that YOU can be inspired to mix and match your own blend of stratetgies and techniques to motivate your learners to completion.
